Ilhan Kasim Awow

Ilhan Kasim Awow is a multidisciplinary professional specializing in social development, child protection, and financial management. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from Somali National University and a Master’s degree in Cooperation, Development, and Migration from the University of Palermo, Italy.

Ilhan has held key roles with the Ministry of Family and Human Rights, Save the Children as a Child Protection Coordinator, and IOM as a research contributor on climate change. In addition to her field experience, she lectures at Afgoi International University and serves as Head of Finance at the Somali National Youth Council. Her expertise in financial governance, research, and institutional accountability strengthens Waara Green’s operational and financial systems.
